5 things you can't do without on the bus
The bus is a fast and convenient means of transport for traveling almost anywhere. However, before such a trip, you should prepare in advance to ensure comfort during the trip.
It happens to you that as soon as you get on a bus that will take you on a long journey, annoying thoughts "I must have forgotten something, but I can't remember what" immediately appear. And then how to get rid of them?
It's simple - you should have a list of things you always take with you on a trip, and follow this list when packing.
Below, we will analyze in detail 5 types of things that can not be done without on a bus trip, and which at the same time are often forgotten.
Orthopedic pillow.
An orthopedic travel pillow will help improve your well-being on a long journey. Yes, it reduces the load on the neck, warms and provides additional comfort. That is why they do not have a price when traveling, long trips or sitting in one place for a long time. An orthopedic pillow is important because it keeps your head straight, so you sleep better and sit more comfortably. Thanks to the pillow, your blood circulation will improve and you will not have a headache, as often happens on the road.
There are inflatable and filled pillows. They differ in that the first model is more convenient to use - when deflated, it fits in the palm of your hand and weighs little. The second variety, as a rule, is more convenient. because some fillers adapt well to the shape of the neck and head. They take up more space because they cannot inflate and deflate. They are characterized by a relatively large weight, so during trips they are often hung from the outside of a backpack or suitcase, because there is simply not enough space to stuff them inside.
There are special children's pillows, which practically do not differ from adults. Can be made in different colors that the child will like, with different designs and additions of drawings. And for very small travelers there are helmet-shaped pillows to protect the head from any impacts. Such children's travel pillows fix the cervical vertebrae well to protect against sudden stops and to prevent injuries.
Many models, which are called "smart", are equipped with additional features. They are equipped with a massage effect, built-in players for listening to your favorite songs, and are characterized by a convenient ergonomic shape. Transformers are quite elastic, can bend in any direction, and are characterized by lightness. Before use, we recommend wiping the pillow with wet wipes or an antiseptic to remove bacteria.
Medications.
So that there are no unpleasant surprises during your vacation, doctors advise you to take a minimum set of medications with you on the road, because it's no secret that an ordinary headache or toothache, stomach upset can ruin your vacation. What's more, doctors advise everyone without exception to take a travel first aid kit, including young people who have never complained about their health.
What kind of medicine should be put in the travel first aid kit depends on many factors: where people go on vacation, what age the travelers are, whether children are traveling with them, or whether they have special needs in taking certain types of medicine. That's why there are general tips, and everyone will put together a first aid kit according to their plans, needs, and state of health
Throat preparations: Strepsils, Dekatylen, lollipops.
Drugs that will help with stomach disorders: "Motilium", "Atoxyl", "Sorbex", white coal,
Medicines that will help normalize digestion: "Mezim", "Festal".
Antipyretics: "Panadol", "Nurofen".
Painkillers: "Nimesyl", "Ibufen".
Antiallergic: "Citrin", "Suprastin", "Fenistil".
Cardiac: "Corvalment", "Valeryana", "Nitroglycerin".
It is better to transport medicines in packages in a special first aid kit. If you are carrying only one tablet, be sure to sign - "for diarrhea", "for headache", "for temperature", then it will be easier to find out which tablets are needed for this or that problem.
And in the event that you are ill, and the necessary medicine is not in your first-aid kit, ask the steward or the bus driver for help, because the bus must have a first-aid kit.
Remember that you are insured during your trip. In the event of an insured event, the first thing to do is to contact the 24-hour dispatch center of the insurance company. All expenses for an insured event are covered subject to compliance with the insurance rules set forth in the policy.
Personal hygiene items.
Take care that there is an opportunity to observe personal hygiene on the way. The bus is often hot or, on the contrary, cold, the skin can dry out, hands and face can get dirty after a snack. And from frequent contact with handrails, ATMs, and cash, you never know what germs you might encounter on the road. Therefore, always treat your hands with sanitizer and protect yourself from viruses.
We also advise you to have a small cosmetic bag in your bag, which will contain all travel personal hygiene products. Because when you feel clean and fresh, then your mood is better, and the road is easier to bear.
What to put in a mini cosmetic bag?
Wet wipes.
Dry wipes.
Antiseptic.
Toilet paper.
Antiperspirant.
Lip balm.
Hand or face moisturizer if you have dry skin.
Comb for combing.
Toothbrush and toothpaste if the road is very long.
Glasses, eye lenses and solution for them, container.
Chewing gum or mints.
It is best to keep all these things together so that you do not have to search for something small all over the bag. And liquid products that can be spilled should be tightly wrapped and carried in small jars that take up a minimum of space.
Do not forget about warm things
The main priority in a long bus journey is to determine your own comfort, of course, which does not disturb the comfort of other passengers. This leads us to the fact that regardless of the time of year and the weather in general, put some warm things in the bag that you take to the salon. Even if you are not a frostbite, it will not be superfluous. Because you know how it happens all of a sudden, the weather will turn bad and it will rain cold, then the air conditioner will be turned on so that your teeth chatter.
Therefore, we advise you to take with you just in case:
A warm fleece jacket or hoodie.
Soft sports pants.
Socks.
A thin blanket for coziness.
Thermos with tea or coffee.
It is better to have warm things in reserve - and not use them, than to be cold and regret that "I should have taken that sweater with me"!
And remember, you should not abuse clothes that require careful care - made of delicate fabrics that require frequent ironing, special detergents for washing. Take with you those things that do not cause additional complications.
A charger for your gadget.
A long bus ride is a great opportunity to take time for yourself, which is always lacking. You will have the opportunity to read an e-book that you have been putting off, listen to an interesting podcast, watch a movie, TV series, or simply relax and dissolve into music in headphones. And all this requires equipment and a battery charge.
Do not forget that you need to take chargers for this equipment with you to the cabin, because sooner or later it will start to "sit down" and it will need to be recharged. For this purpose, many buses are equipped with USB connectors located near each seat.
But be prepared for the fact that older models of buses may not have USB connectors, so it makes sense to save battery power on devices and have 100% "filled" power banks and corresponding charging cables with you.
If the journey is long, you have nothing to charge your devices, and you feel that the gadgets may not "live" to the destination, switch the phone to energy saving mode or flight mode and use it only when you need to make a call or send an important message.
Try to rest and get a good night's sleep before a long bus ride. It will help you to be more cheerful and energetic. The day before departure, do not eat heavy meals, do not drink alcohol and, preferably, do not work. Devote this time to packing your suitcase and your own recovery.
The most important thing to take with you is a good mood, tune yourself in to a positive attitude, and even if it's raining outside the bus window, enjoy the trip!
