Check sheet: what to take with you on a trip

Travels and trips happen in the life of almost every person. Some travel often, others travel once a year. But everyone needs to know what to take with you on a trip, to feel comfortable in any circumstances. It is better to make a list of necessary things in advance, based on the circumstances of the trip, and excluding the possibility of forgetting something.

If you plan a vacation and know the dates of the trip, then you need to start preparation with organizational points:

  • ask your bank about the terms of card service in others countries;

  • stock up on cash;

  • download maps of the area to gadgets, electronic documents;

  • check insurance, reservation;

  • develop routes to the airport.

1-2 days before departure, you must check the weather forecast in the area where you plan to arrive and charge all electronic devices. The main thing you should be guided by when going on a trip is to take only what is necessary so as not to burden yourself with unnecessary things.

What to take with you on a trip: we make a list of things

Of course, the list of things depends on the purpose of the trip, the destination and the period of stay. For example, a list will differ from what is required for a short-term business trip. All luggage is collected depending on what you plan to do on the trip: go to cultural events, or travel mountain trails, be on the beach, or spend time in expensive restaurants. But there are mandatory for all cases things:

  • money and banking map;

  • documents — the originals and copies, electronic options and their importance printouts;

  • cosmetics;

  • first aid kit;

  • telephone.

List of clothes and footwear depends on the season, the climate of the country, and again, on the cultural program of the trip. However, simply understanding what to take on the road is not enough. You also need to determine which items should be kept on hand during the trip, and what can be packed in a suitcase and checked in. You should keep documents, money and cards, a telephone and the necessary medicines with you: those that regulate blood pressure, for headaches and other types of pain, heart medicines, anti-asthmatics and antihistamines if necessary. It is better to have wet wipes and an antiseptic in constant availability.

What to take in the first-aid kit: a list of necessary medications

Medicines are an important component of travelers' luggage. For an adult, and even more so, if they go on a trip with children, a whole set of medicines is needed, which may be needed in different circumstances. The human body usually reacts to changes in climate, water, food, and unusual circumstances. What should be in the travel first aid kit:

  • painkillers;

  • antipyretic drugs;

  • anti-inflammatory pharmaceuticals in the form of pills, ear and eye drops;

  • antihistamines (against allergies);

  • sorbents and preparations for intestinal infections;

  • means to normalize blood pressure;

  • gels against blockages, injuries and joint inflammation;

  • personal protective equipment;

  • patch, antiseptic wipes.

Of course, if a person has chronic diseases and takes medical drugs on a regular basis, then you need to have a supply of them for the entire period of the trip. It is also important to have skin products that protect from the sun, as well as insect repellents. It is better to take care of health insurance in other countries, because no one is protected from possible injuries, diseases and unforeseen circumstances.

What to wear on the road

There is no universal advice on clothing directly for the trip. It all depends on the type of transport, season, personal preferences and comfort. In general, it is better to prefer loose clothes, worn shoes, and a comfortable bag or shoulder bag.

You can dress in the following styles:

  1. Sports. All things are suitable: shorts, skirts or pants that go well with sneakers. T-shirts, shirts and baseball caps go well with this style.

  2. Romantic. Loose pants, sundresses, tunics, capes are combined with comfortable sandals and sandals.

  3. Free. There is no need to hold back your imagination. Favorite jeans, trainers and sports shirts can be combined with a cape or jacket made of cotton.

For moving at night or in the morning, a thin jacket is suitable, which does not take up much space, but will keep you warm in the cool period. In the heat, a shirt made of natural thin fabric with long sleeves will not be superfluous either. Such a thing prevents possible sunburn, as well as a hat with a large brim. For security purposes, you should have a small bag for documents, money and phone, worn on your belt or over your shoulder.

Depending on the type of transport, you should wear the following items:

  1. On the train, you need comfortable sports pants (for men and women) or knitted ones leggings for women It is comfortable to sit and lie in such clothes, it does not wrinkle and does not lose its appearance. A light and closed T-shirt and loose slippers will allow you to feel comfortable.

  2. The bus requires loose clothing in which it is comfortable to sit for a long time. It is better to have a jacket to protect yourself from the cold or air conditioning.

  3. Having your own car gives you the most choice, so you can feel free. Just wear whatever you feel is appropriate.

  4. Airplanes are air-conditioned, so prepare a stole. Here, clothes that do not wrinkle from sitting for a long time and have non-branded colors will come in handy.

Special attention should be paid to shoes. It should be comfortable and not tight. Legs will definitely swell from sitting for a long time.

What else to take with you on a trip

It is important to think about what to take in hand luggage. These are necessary things that should be at hand in any type of transport:

  • money, cards, tickets and documents in a separate bag that is conveniently placed on the body;

  • wet antiseptic wipes, "first aid" pills;

  • drinking water and snack bars;

  • a phone with a power bank.

Don't forget your favorite sunglasses, a pen and small notebook, anti-nausea pills or chewing gum, a mirror and a comb. A phone or e-book will help you have a good time on the road.

Be sure to check the entire list of required documents:

  • passport — domestic and foreign;

  • driver's license;

  • tickets and insurance;

  • bank cards.

It is better to have some cash in the currency of the country you are traveling to. It is also advisable to take equipment with you in hand luggage. Headphones are required for the phone.

What not to take with you on the road

A suitcase, bag or backpack should be compact and light. In order for the interior space to be as organized as possible, things should be placed compactly. For example, small objects fit well inside shoes.

What should be avoided on trips:

  • shoes with unstable and high heels;

  • cosmetics in large volumes;

  • paired (same) wardrobe items;

  • business and elegant things (if the purpose of the trip does not require it);

  • precious jewelry;

  • perishable products, especially without appropriate support temperature regime (yogurts, cheese).

It is important not to overload suitcases or travel bags. This is inconvenient and may violate the airport's baggage size and weight requirements. If you correctly combine wardrobe items, decide on the most necessary, then the suitcase will close easily, and there will be something to wear for any occasion during the trip.
