Rules of behavior on the bus during the trip: what is allowed and what is strictly prohibited
Traveling by bus is an exciting adventure. Passengers have the opportunity to enjoy the long journey, admire the views from the window and imagine what the journey will be like upon arrival. Responsible carriers try to ensure everyone's comfort during the trip, and passengers, in turn, must follow general rules of behavior and be courteous to each other.
The rules of behavior in public transport are designed primarily to create normal travel conditions for all passengers and to avoid situations that may lead to conflicts or injuries. These rules are quite simple, both children and adults should follow them.
Keep your place clean.
Remember that the bus is a public place, so it is much more comfortable to travel when the surroundings are clean. Do not leave paper, chewing gum or empty bottles behind. If the road is long, carry a small bag with you in which to put all kinds of garbage. And when there is an opportunity, you will calmly throw it away at the bus stop. In the event that you accidentally spilled or spilled something and you are unable to clean up the place yourself - do not hesitate to inform the conductor or driver - they will advise you on how to clean up after yourself, help, or simply keep this situation in mind and after the flight ends for them it will not be an unpleasant surprise.
Do not walk around the cabin while the bus is moving.
This is one of the basic rules of passenger safety. When the bus leaves, everyone must be in their seats. Walking quickly in the aisle between the seats can be dangerous, because in case of a sharp maneuver or braking, you can fall, injure yourself, other passengers, or the bus itself. Therefore, it is safest to stay in your place and get out only at stops. And if you have to get up to get things or walk a bit, walk slowly and hold tightly to the handles of the chairs.
Do not put heavy things on the shelf above the seat.
Large and bulky suitcases and bags should be placed in the spacious cargo compartment before boarding. On the shelf above, these things may simply not fit, and then you will have to put them in the aisle, obstructing the passage of other passengers. In the event that you need to remove heavy luggage from the shelf, there is a high probability that you will not be able to hold it and drop it on one of the passengers or on your feet. And, after all, these shelves are not designed for heavy weight, so they wear out faster and loosen under the heavy weight of oversized bags.
Only small luggage is allowed to be stored on the shelves above the seats: a city backpack, a shopping bag or a small suitcase - those things that are called hand luggage when traveling by plane.
Do not drink alcoholic beverages on the bus.
Even a little, even cider, even to sleep better. It is forbidden - and there are no exceptions. Alcohol affects people in different ways - no one wants to tolerate a drunken neighbor with an unpleasant smell, inappropriate or even aggressive behavior. This rule is about basic culture and respect for other passengers, as well as, of course, general safety.
Do not smoke in the cabin.
No tobacco, no electronic cigarettes, no anything else. Smoking inside the bus creates a fire hazard, disturbs other passengers and obviously damages their health. Not to mention that the acrid smell of smoke seeps into the bus cabin very quickly. For smoking in the cabin, the passenger may be kicked off the bus and ticket money may not be returned.
Carefully fold the back of the chair.
When you are going to take a nap and fold the back of the chair, make sure that your neighbor behind is ready for this maneuver. Don't be shy about asking if you can recline the back a little - and when you get the OK - then recline a little at a time. Because it is often unpleasant when people ignore this simple rule and in this way turn over someone's thermos with tea, phone, or simply hit their knees.
It is mandatory to follow the rules of behavior on the bus. And remember that the bus is the same public place as a park or a yard - here it is just as important to respect your "neighbors" and be polite to them, as well as not to ignore cases when someone clearly violates the rules.
We wish you comfortable and cozy travels!
